Food and drink at UoN

There are plenty of options for eating and drinking on campus at Newcastle Uni. From crepes and sushi to burgers and chips, there is something for everyone.

On the Hunter side, you will find Hunter Kitchen with made-to-order sandwiches, as well as hot food options.

Bar on the Hill Cafe has great, cheap pasta as well as burgers, chips, wedges and daily specials.

Delish (on the Shortland side) has awesome crepes and healthy sushi options as well as juices and smoothies. Uni Bakehouse has amazing (and cheap!) pies, and Subway offers the usual sandwich options.

Unifood offers great hot food options, including pasta and noodles, as well as fresh sandwiches and salads.

If you are looking for a more refined dining experience, try Isabella's, next to the Shortland Building.

For coffee, you can try Mamadukes, the Hub Cafe or Gloria Jeans on the Shortland side, or Espresso Plus and Bar on the Hill Cafe over near Hunter.

Looking for a place to relax and have a couple of drinks? Try the Godfrey Tanner Bar (commonly called GT Bar) in the Shortland Building, or the Bar on the Hill near the Hunter side. There's always something going on in one of the bars, so you will be sure to find some entertainment!
